We finally got our new car – a 2006 Scion tC! She is fabulous and comfortable and purrs like a kitten when on the highway. This is what she looks like, minus the road-warrior paint job on the front:
You never realize how much you depend on your car when you are without one. C and I had been sharing a car for two months, since the Jetta was a lemon and died. We made it work, despite working in different towns. I don’t know how people who live in small cities, like ours, manage without one; we don’t have quality public transportation and how often can you really ask a friend for a ride?
What hurt more than the inconvenience and changing schedules was that the car we were left with was our 1991 Jeep, not exactly good on fuel efficiency. Need I go into the way gas prices are today? But that is a different topic, for a different day.
We are so excited about the Scion.
C took it to work today, for show and tell.
