pstlyfdiva's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Catch-up I have been silent for a while…lots going on in life. Funny how when there is a lot going on, I don’t write about it… I went to AZ for mother’s day. While it was good to see my family, I was worked like it was a sweatshop and I was making 60 cents a day. My parents are about to move out of their condo into a new ginormous house; I swear you could sleep 5 or 6 African tribes in the place. Of course my mother needed interior design help, so my “vacation” was spent working…now I need a vacation from my vacation. I don’t think we left a design shop untouched in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. “So sorry,” to all those poor shopkeepers that were not expecting us... On the home front, I am having some friend issues…things I cannot really go into, as I don’t want anything to get back to said friend second or third hand. In short, there was some miscommunication with something I wrote (not on here)…friend was hurt by it, friend didn’t tell me and now it has blossomed into friend not speaking to me. (Though I all honesty I did not mean to hurt the person.) I have extended an olive branch, hopefully friend will take it. Other than that, our going to DC Pride is questionable now. We have gone every year since we have been together, it will really be sad if we can’t go this year. Rooms are incredible expensive and in short supply. We have a room reserved, but it was for 5 people, 2 have definitely backed out, 1 probably has and it is too expensive for us to afford on our own. I skimmed some places today and it doesn’t look very promising to find something less expensive. C very sweetly just called and said that she wouldn’t go to an event that she has been looking forward to, if it would help us afford Pride. We will see… In happier news, Friday is our four-year anniversary!
